Castings Services

Met-L-Flo Bridge Tooling Services

Met-L-Flo delivers expertise in low volume production. With over 30 years of service, we can utilize our casting technologies to be used for your bridge tooling needs. Let us save you both, time and money before large production tooling fees. We understand the urgency of efficiently getting your parts to market. Utilizing Castings for bridge tooling allows for low volume manufacturing for design validation and marketing test evaluations.

With the ability to simulate virtually any production material, castings for bridge tooling can be done in silicone, urethane, foam, and metals. We offer a variety of durometers from shore 00, A to D and a full range of metal castings. Castings enable the ability to produce parts with production tolerances and an assortment of geometries. Castings are typically used in preproduction, custom prototypes, or low volume manufacturing as production via bridge tooling.

Castings can produce products with features the same as proven production systems. These include over-molded parts for compliant and multi-material products. Secondary processes can be performed on castings for features like threaded inserts or two shot molding for advanced application parts.

Castings may be the solution for your program! To discuss your program or to learn more about castings for bridge tooling, email, call us at 1-800-MET-L-FLO or (630) 409-9860. You may also fill out the quick contact form to the right and we will respond shortly.

Urethane Casting Services

Urethane casting can provide production-level quality end-use, rigid plastic, or rubber parts. Our urethane casting process uses a 3D printed master pattern and silicone molds to produce your parts quickly. Comparing urethane casting to traditional tooling, it is less expensive, easy to alter or change your design, and offers the ability to test different materials in the same mold. Another main advantage of urethane casting is the minimal need for post-processing. When a urethane cast part comes out of the mold, after some cleaning it is ready for use. Urethane casting can produce rigid, flexible, clear, or colored parts, consult with us today and see if this is the process for you.
