FDM Prototypes

FDM Prototypes

Our advanced technology and equipment enables us to make your plans a reality. FDM prototypes are perfect if you need to create complex 3D parts that require high performance materials. If for any reason you have any questions or comments about FDM prototypes, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-MET-L-FLO or fill out the form on this page and a representative will respond shortly.

Our FDM prototypes offer a variety of applications including:

  • High Heat Environments
  • High Stress Environments
  • Chemical Environments
  • End Use and Low Volume Production Parts
  • Production Aids
  • Jigs and Fixtures
  • Sheet Metal Forming Dyes
  • Composite Layup Tools
  • Sand Casting Patterns

Custom FDM Prototypes

FDM prototypes, or fused deposition modeling prototypes, are created using additive manufacturing technology. FDM prototypes work on an additive principle where the materials are developed in layers. Met-L-Flo has a wide variety of FDM materials to assure the best match for your custom prototype and low volume manufacturing applications.

FDM prototypes are made using a special software and an STL file. This file contains all of geometric information regarding the project that you are creating. Heating is very important because it helps fuse the layers together, strengthening the structural integrity of the prototype.  Met-L-Flo offers fast quotes and turnarounds on FDM prototypes at an affordable price. Trust Met-L-Flo for all your prototyping needs.

Affordable FDM Prototypes

Met-L-Flo can provide FDM prototypes that are considerably more affordable compared to our competitors and we are un-matched in the industry as far as quality of materials and the overall build itself.

If for any reason you have any questions or comments about FDM prototypes, feel free to fill out the form on this page and an associate will respond shortly or give us a call at 1-800-MET-L-FLO to speak with a knowledgeable representative.
