Selective Laser Sintering or SLS is a well know process that we have been utilizing in our facility since the early 90s. SLS is a powder bed fusion (PBF) process. These builds start with powder being laid out and a laser selectively heats parts of the powder. Once the layer is complete the build platform lowers, then more powder is laid out and the process repeats. This process continues until the part is built. One of the benefits of PBF is that no supports are required because the powder is laid out in layers and supports the part as it is built. This means that there is less secondary finishing needed.
We offer a large selection of finishes for your SLS parts. Depending on your project needs your part might not require any finishing.
