Prototype Rotational Molding

Prototype Rotational Molding

Prototype rotational molding involves a molding of a part or product and then a liquid material can be introduced into the prototype mold and rotated. If for any reason you have any questions or comments about prototype rotational molding, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-Met-L-Flo or fill out the form to the right and a representative will respond shortly.

Our experienced prototype rotational molding staff can help get your parts cast, molded and to your specifications efficiently and with the best quality you can expect from Met-L-Flo Inc. Some of the benefits and advantages of prototype rotational molding include:

  • Quick tool production
  • Customized durometers
  • Consistent exterior surface finish
  • 20 to 40 parts per tool
  • Customized color matching (PMS, FMS, etc.)
  • Simulates Blow Molding or Rotational Molding

High Quality Prototype Rotational Molding

The integration of 3D printing technology into prototype rotational molding has increased the precision to new heights. Prototype rotational molding is also known as “rotomolding”, which is a thermalplastic process where a moldable material is warmed to its melting point and then rotated in a hollow mold until the cast or tool is completely coated inside the cavity leaving the part hollow as well.

Our state-of-the-art facility can accommodate small to large pieces and we can provide castings in multiple materials to best suit your desired finish.  One Rotational molding type involves a chemical reaction of a urethane or polymer with two parts that when combined, heat up and solidify into a hardened material.

Affordable Prototype Rotational Molding

Our prototype rotational molding services are very reasonably priced compared to our competitors and is a unique process that allows for a variety of geometries and applications including over molding inserts.

If for any reason you have any questions or comments about prototype rotational molding, feel free to fill out the form to the right and an associate will respond shortly or give us a call at 1-800-Met-L-Flo.
